As of, May 15th, 2003, Lords of Shadowed Blade have Adopted the following Application Policy. Knights and Blades will have their own, modified versions based on their requests as well.
When you post an application, be sure to include the following information:
# How long have you been playing Everquest.
# How you came to know of this guild.
# What you feel you can bring to this guild.
# What alts you have and what guild tags they wear.
# What you hope to accomplish as a member.
# Why you left any previous guilds.
May 15th Lord Application Requirements:
#1 - An applicant must post an application after reading the and agreeing the abide by the Charter, the topics discussed in the about us section, and the join section of the page.
#2 - An applicant must then attend 3 raids, or more, as well as make an attempt to make yourself known to the guild and its guild members, they are who vote you in, when it is time.
#3 - An applicant must maintain their thread. You have to ensure that you stay active with your thread, you are visible to members, and that you post when you have attended raids, and give feedback about your experiences.
#4 - A sponsor (or volunteer member), will try to help you through your applicant process, he/she is your guide, use them wisely.
#5 - Finally, when you have fulfilled all your requirements, a thread will be opened in our internal boards. You will be voted by a post based voting system. People must vote yes or
no, and state their reasons, in detail why.
Probation.
Following acceptence in this guild, you will be subject to a probationary period for an indetermined length of time. This allows us to ensure that you fit in, idealistically, and are able to carry on without any problems in the guild.
Understand also that all members are expected to maintain the same ideals of honor and morality throughout their history in this guild.
Understand
That this is not a guild to be used as a stepping-stone, nor is it to get your foot in the door of an "uber" guild.
App to this guild for its ideals, its honor, and its respect. It is a guild about self-sacrafice for its fellow member. We are a family, an extended family who share the same goals, and leaving because of a problem or greed, simply isn't an acceptable option.

January 2004, Knight Applicants:
The Knights tier of the Shadowed Blades is currently accepting applications for membership. The purpose of the application process is to allow a time interval in which the aspirant gets to know the guild, and vice-versa. Upon successfully completing the application process, the aspirant may be offered a probationary membership.
- The Applicant shall read and accept the guild's charter (if you don't agree to all points, don't apply)
- The Aspirant shall file an application on the Message board (at the time of application, the aspirant must not wear any other guild's tag, Shadowed Blades excepted.)
- In Game, after filing the application, send a /tell to a Knights member to introduce yourself, and get an invite to the SBfamily chat channel. In SBfamily chat channel, introduce yourself, and begin looking for people to group with. This can be with anyone from any tier of the guild. (We want you as part of our guild, but we will not chase you down. The onus is on you to introduce yourself to guild and find Knights to group with).
- Group with at least 2 Knights members (preferred) or any 2 members of any tier if the Knights census is low, and post updates to message board application indicating with whom you have grouped.
- Ask those that you grouped with to also go to our message board, and add any posts they may wish.
- Continue to stay in touch with Knights recruiting officers in game and request a status update on your application only after the minimum group requirement is met.
- After the minimum group requirements are met, you will be summoned before an officer and after an optional interview, at the officers discretion may be invited to become a probationary member of Knights of Shadowed Blade.
The process can take from 2 weeks to a month. Please be persistent but patient. We thank you for your interest in the Shadowed Blade family of guilds. May you bring honor on your name

May 21st, Blade Applications.
Process:
1. Person posts application.
2. Person must group with at least 2 members (can be done at same time).
3. Person edits app to list the names of those members he/she grouped with.
4. Those members come to final agreement regarding acceptance.
5. Final decision can be done at the end of the grouping using guild chat if two or more members are present. If an officer is present, guilding can be done at that time.
Once you are a member:
We encourage you to get to know the members of your current and the higher tiers. One way to do this is to group with them or their alts. Another is to regularly check the message board since it is an important part of the guild. Finally, all three tiers share a common chat channel. Please join it and be sure to use it. It is an excellent way to meet the other guild members.
Moving from SB to KoSB:
Members in one tier of the guild are not guaranteed membership in a higher-level tier. Moving up will require a recommendation from the officers and leaders of your current and the higher-level tier.
